If you only think about the teachings of Christ at Christmas or Easter, you may want to bookmark this page to come back to for deeper reflection.
One of the teachings of Christ was to face ourselves. In facing ourselves, we discover the path of freedom, freedom from illusion and the “not-self.”
When the Apostle Paul wrote, “We see through a glass darkly,” he was explaining that the mirror upon which we look reflects an image we do not see clearly. To see through a glass darkly is to have an imperfect vision of reality.
If we saw ourselves clearly, we would recognize that “we are Gods,” as Christ said. What do you think or feel when you read that statement? Do you think, “Blasphemy!” Our churches don’t teach us this, but what if they did?
If we were to consider the social and spiritual implications of this Truth, this Teaching of Christ, what would be its impact?
If “ye are Gods,” how could God exploit, hate, impose, on the other Gods?
You are not free if your thoughts and actions impose on another person. When you impose Christ’s teachings upon another, you know only the shell of His teaching, not the spirit.
Jesus said, “In my Father’s house are many mansions.” Leave people free to discover and live the Teaching, according to their need and understanding.
This alone will create Peace on Earth.
