2010 Cancer Full Moon: Cardinal Cross

At this Cancer full moon, there is a very strong Cardinal Cross. The Cardinal Cross is the cross of Spirit. At the top point of this cross we find Uranus and Jupiter in early degrees of the cardinal sign Aries. Aries is the sign of a new beginning. Uranus is the Hierarchical ruler of Aries and it connects with one of the stars of the Great Bear. This brings in a shift to a higher level of purpose on the planet and an opportunity for more of humanity to go through the process of spiritual regeneration, leading toward initiation.

Jupiter brings expansion of that purpose. The two together indicate that those on the path can more readily organize the energy of light and love within their system and prepare for transformation. This opens the door to be in greater contact with the purpose and to detach oneself from outer circumstances. When we make an effort to organize our life: to bring in the light, love and goodwill, then this creates a burning ground.

Aries inaugurates the new Age and it is effective on the Earth through the organizing power of Uranus. That which is now initiated in Aries will become manifested in Aquarius” (Esoteric Astrology, p. 548.)

Therefore, now is a good time to expand on any ideas that you have that will help humanity’s future.

The next point of the cross is the Sun and Mercury in Cancer. Cancer is the gateway into incarnation or form life. But it is a Cardinal sign, as well, which relates it to Spirit. This cross represents a chance to utilize the mind (Mercury) to bring higher ideas into form manifestation.

This raises the vibration of matter which is seen in the keynote of Cancer, “I build a lighted house and therein dwell.” Once a person has built their own lighted house, they work to build the lighted house for humanity. This relates back to the shifting of humanity’s purpose.

We are no longer to be focused on war and retribution but on building the ideas of unity, harmony and brotherhood. Of course, since Cancer rules the home, this denotes that the building of humanity’s house of light begins within the home.

Across from this is the full moon in Capricorn. At this time, the moon is exactly aligned with the planet Pluto. Capricorn is representative of materialism. The moon represents humanity’s emotional attachment to the material world and the past karma connected with it. Pluto is First Ray and along the line of the destroyer.

Pluto is also called the “sword of truth.” This truth is connected to the new purpose entering into the consciousness of humanity which destroys the old way of thinking. This is seen in the fact that building up material wealth, for wealth’s sake, is not our purpose.

Of course, we see this reflected in the worldwide financial crisis. This cross brings in a powerful Will energy. This can stir up a lot of emotion and lead toward conflict. It can also bring in higher ideas that will lead to the healing of conflicts, depending upon the focus. If humanity responds, then it will lead to climbing the mountain of spiritual vision in Capricorn.

The fourth point of the cross is Saturn. Saturn is at the later degrees of Virgo and is moving into Libra. In Libra, Saturn is the hierarchical ruler. Saturn brings in the third ray of active intelligence.

With the energy of will and a new purpose expressing through this Cardinal cross, it takes an organized intelligence to put that purpose into action. Saturn signifies creating an intelligent plan to put the higher purpose into action. Instead of representing the old form, here Saturn represents the new form that must be created.

This is done with intelligent, balanced (Libra) thinking. Because Saturn is on the cusp and in the last degrees of Virgo, the energy of the Mother strongly influences. This is to say that the new plan must call attention to the need for compassion and understanding toward all creatures on the earth.
