At this full moon time, when the Sun is in Capricorn, the mountain top calls out to all true seekers of light. Capricorn is called the “Gate into Spirit.” The mountain top calls you to lift your thoughts out of earthly matters and make a deeper connection with your spiritual source.
The planet Mars is exalted in Capricorn. For someone focused only upon material goals, this exaltation represents the height of material achievement. It can represent such a dense focus on obtaining money and possessions that the individual completely denies his or her spiritual reality.For those seeking spiritual contact during these changing times, the exaltation of Mars gives energy to climb the mountain and break free of attachments. Mars is like the kundalini fire that rises up within you, giving you strength and power to conquer your obstacles.
Mars now is in the sign Virgo and is in a triangle aspect to the Sun during this full moon period. Mars in Virgo quickens the birth of the True Self. This triangle helps to release spiritual possibilities.
Mars is working in cooperation with its alter ego Pluto which is now in Capricorn. You utilize Mars energy when you intensify your focus and commitment to live in the world of the Real. That focus evokes the truth which Pluto represents. Pluto destroys crystallized mental concepts which prevent you from recognizing spiritual reality. This leads you closer to the Gate into Spirit in Capricorn.
Now, why would an earth sign be considered the Gate into Spirit? You might think that it would be fire or air — an element seemingly closer to spirit than earth.
But Capricorn is one of the four arms of the Cardinal Cross. The Cardinal Cross relates to spiritual will and power. For your spiritual striving and breakthroughs to become real, you must have the will to express them here on earth.

There at the top, in the clarity of your own beingness, you will know what to do, and you will take your vision down the mountain to serve others.
