Sagittarius Total Lunar Eclipse

This full moon in Sagit­tar­ius is a total lunar eclipse. As I have writ­ten about in the past, the eso­teric sym­bol­ism of the total lunar eclipse is that the form, or the phys­i­cal, emo­tional and lower mind, is eclipsed by the light of the Sun, the Soul, or True Self.

As the Sun is in Sagit­tar­ius, it is an ideal time to redi­rect your thoughts toward pos­i­tive spir­i­tual achieve­ment while cre­at­ing a clear-cut path toward service.

Sagit­tar­ius is a fire sign. Just as a torch lights the way in a dark cor­ri­dor, clar­ity of thought and direc­tion bring light to the mind. 

Fire of Sincerity

One of the main qual­i­ties that pro­duce clar­ity is sin­cer­ity. The word sin­cer­ity is from the French sem = one + creare = cre­ate. Through sin­cere one-pointed focus, you can cre­ate a new direc­tion and a clear path for your Soul’s expression.

Through con­cen­tra­tion upon exactly what you want to achieve as a spir­i­tual being, you can begin to bring that idea into focus and expression.

But true sin­cer­ity is self­less. Just as the moon “gets out of the way” at the total lunar eclipse, with deep sin­cer­ity you step out of your emo­tions into the light of your higher mind. This sin­cer­ity aligns you with your spir­i­tual will and your part in the great Plan for humanity.

Sagit­tar­ius Plan­e­tary Rulers

For in Sagit­tar­ius, pow­er­ful forces are at work to lead you and human­ity on to a higher turn of the spi­ral. Jupiter is the ruler on the per­son­al­ity level, and Jupiter sig­ni­fies the need to expand out of the old form into a new and more goal-fitting form.

Mys­te­ri­ously, the Earth rules on the Soul level. This rep­re­sents set­ting goals that carry the fire of higher ideas down into the Earth sphere through prac­ti­cal action.

Mars gov­erns on the high­est level. This can bring a burst of enthu­si­asm lead­ing to break­throughs and spir­i­tual progress.

At this time of the eclipse, the planet Mars is square the Sun and the Moon. This can inten­sify the strug­gle for free­dom which we are wit­ness­ing through­out the world. Mars energy, in this case, can bring bat­tle and destruc­tion. This square resides in muta­ble signs. The muta­ble cross is the cross of change. This aspect can ener­gize the drive in human­ity to change and to free itself from lim­it­ing conditions.

Coop­er­at­ing with the Forces of Change

On an indi­vid­ual basis, to help facil­i­tate pos­i­tive change, we can coop­er­ate with the energy of free­dom. This full moon can be a moment of peace where you can rest your body, reduce the waves of emo­tion that can pour upon sen­si­tive peo­ple dur­ing these stress­ful times, and shut off your chat­ter­ing lower mind filled with thoughts of worry and doubt.

With the moon out of the way, even if for just a moment, you can take a deep breath, get into the moment and see a door that opens lead­ing to Peace on Earth and good­will to all.
