Just because I do not paint, dance, sculpt, does not mean I lack creativity. Finding how to bring light to the world is the most creative action.
During my advertising career, I felt that I was hiding my light under a bushel, as the saying goes. Interestingly, it was my hairdresser who set me straight. I expressed to him how selling advertising seemed so mundane and not at all connected to a greater purpose.
“Every person you meet, every hand you shake, is an opportunity to share your light and understanding. Serve where you are at,” he said.
It’s been many years since that conversation but I replay it in my head when questioning the timing of life happenings or my purpose in life.
The greatest creativity is to bring illumination to mankind.
