Aries — Rise Up!

Article by Michael Beard

Mars, the personality ruler of Aries, governs the solar plexus.

In the Tibetan Wheel of Life, Yama, or Pluto, which represents the higher octave of Mars, holds and turns the wheel. The center or hub of the wheel lines up with his solar plexus center. Within this hub, a rooster, a boar and a snake are chasing each others tails.

These are called the three poisons and represent the vices that keep us trapped in the wheel. The rooster represents greed, the boar  ignorance, or delusion, and the snake is hatred. They stir up the vices that keep us stuck in matter.

On one side of this hub is the dark path that leads into the realm of hell. On the other side is the path of light leading to the realm of reality.

Aries is the sign that carries the greatest opportunity for breaking away from the old and creating anew. When receiving Aries energy, you can clear your solar plexus. Aries fire, in cooperation with your Soul, can clean out the fear, guilt or anger which have been pulling the levers that control your life.

This is important because the great Wheel is turning, and it is time to move into a future where you are governed by joy, peace and freedom of the spirit. It is time to follow the upward spiral of light. This is the beginning of the path of resurrection.

The greatest gift from Christ to humanity is the concept of resurrection, which was given when the sun was in the constellation of Aries. Aries opens new cycles which, like a spiral of fire, give birth to a new expression of Spirit. …

Resurrection is a steady at-one-ment with one’s true Self, a steady process of changing into Fire and becoming Oneself. Resurrection is the withdrawal of Spirit from matter through the process of adaptation and victory over matter. We are told that resurrection means to go back to the original state of being.

According to the Tibetan Master, the solar plexus is the clearing house for personality energy and this energy must be carried to the heart by an act of the will.

The full moon of Aries is the ideal time for such an act. Aries expresses the ray of Will or Power. Through an act of the will, you can rise up. You can decide to the take the higher way. You can turn fear into striving, anxiety into enthusiasm, hatred into love and greed into compassion.

Through such bold action, you change into fire and create your own resurrection.
